Hoboken NJ Women Love This NJ boudoir photographer

A boudoir photo session is a great time, and for women from Hoboken NJ, they seem to have found their favorite boudoir photographer.

As the popularity of boudoir photography has risen over the years, so has the number of photographers practicing the art form. Shopping for a boudoir photographer can be tricky, though. As you'll see, all boudoir photographers aren't created equal!

Hi, I'm Michael. I'm a luxury boudoir photographer from NJ. I've been creating beauty for years, and have worked with women from Hoboken and all around NJ who are looking for the best boudoir photography available. Primarily, I work with brides, but I'm always excited to hear from women looking to create amazing anniversary gifts... or even those looking to do a session for themselves.

Let's get back to the 'all photographers aren't created equal' part. For some reason, this is a little tricky for boudoir shoppers to understand, at first. When talking to a perspective client I may explain the point, "Would you say all restaurants are the same? Is going to a Taco Bell comparable to going to Amanda's? --They're both restaurants..." My client's are smart-- from then on they get it. There is a difference.

Consultations are an important part of my process, because it's important to talk with prospective clients and listen to their needs and what brought them to me. As a luxury boudoir photographer, you may equate what I do more to Amanda's than Taco Bell.

My clients are those who value experiences and enjoy having fun. When I get asked for tips about shopping for a photographer, I always recommend using the same mindset as if you were shopping for your wedding venue, or perhaps planning an anniversary getaway weekend. These are special occasions. Shopping for your boudoir photographer needs to be treated in the same manner. I'm fairly certain Taco Bell wasn't an option for your wedding planning... likewise, and for good measure, your bridal photography shouldn't be left in the hands of the lowest bidder.

I'm using a bit of exaggeration there, but it makes an important point. My boudoir sessions are an experience, and as a pro, it's my job to be the guide to walk you through all the steps on the journey. The first part, as I mentioned before, is to make sure we're a good fit. I work with a limited number of women every year, and my calendar can be filled months in advance.

Boudoir photography is a great wedding gift idea, and it's my specialty. I work with brides from all over NJ, PA and NY who are looking for something different than just a run-of-the-mill boudoir session.

What's is like? It is a great time. Typically, when my brides come in, they receive a bit of pampering with a complete makeover. Afterward, we take time to review your outfits and come up with a plan to get all the photos needed. These sessions are a time to relax-- it's a bit of a getaway from your regular daily grind. No rush. No time limits. It's an environment where you are not judged, but always heard. Doesn't that sound amazing? It is.

It's important for me to share a real boudoir experience with my clients. As it's name implies-- boudoir photography is shot in a bedroom setting. Anything else, is NOT boudoir photography-- despite what you may be told (or sold.) I feel horrible when women are often misled by photographers on that manner. Boudoir photography never takes place in a dark studio, or worse, in someone's basement. Blah! That's not boudoir...that's um, Taco Bell.

I have a building full of bedrooms with plenty of space to shoot amazing photography. Real boudoir, the way it should be.

Your session may last two hours or so. One important tip when getting ready for your session is to stretch out!! In boudoir there is a lot of bending, twisting, and's quite a workout! It's all worth it in the end, though. When we wrap up, my clients often leave as if they are walking on air-- it's such a great time.

Then the hard work begins--for me. Depending on my work load it can take a few weeks to get into preparing your files for viewing. As I mentioned, I can get busy. When everything is ready, we'll jump on a Zoom or Google Meet and pick out your best images together.

One question women frequently ask is how far ahead should they plan their session. At a minimum, it should be 2-3 months, but I have women that reserve their dates with me up to a year in advance.

My specialty is producing beautiful custom albums-- which make the perfect gift and keepsake. While my clients receive an incredible experience, the real service I strive to provide is overwhelming joy and a heart filling experience each and every time you view your images-- five years, ten years into the future.  It's a feeling that transcends words.  If you're wondering why you should choose me as your photographer, spend a few minutes on my website.

Sound interesting? I'd love to hear from you. If you'd like to talk more about your bridal boudoir session, please send me a note. You can reach me via the Contact Page on my website or DM me on Instagram.
