Hi, I'm Michael. I'm really a little bit of a geek, but more importantly I'm a boudoir photographer. I seriously love shooting boudoir! It's my thing. Having been shooting boudoir for over 10 years now (which I can't believe 😀), I really get that it's more than just a set of beautiful photographs... I also understand the anxious feelings about having a camera pointed at you-- I actually feel the same way. I'm a bit of an introvert, myself.
So, I made it my goal a long time ago to be sure you don't have to worry about feeling awkward during your session, and to be sure you have an amazing time. After all, isn't that what it's all about?! 😀
A bit about me-- I'm super funny and laid back. I'm excellent with those tricky stocking garter tabby things, and I'm an expert at making you relax. Oh, and I nearly forgot, I also take beautiful romantic photos in a totally natural way. I often say the best way to think of me is like a BFF, but with a camera... but maybe with a bit more facial hair. 😂😂
Its been quite an interesting journey from the humble beginning to where I find myself today. In brief, I work in the field of natural light glamour and boudoir photography. It is a technically challenging and exacting form of photography, but the results of working in this fashion best suit the kind of work I do, and help produce the beautiful images I create.
My start in photography was really incubated by necessity in the late '90s along side the advent of the digital camera. I started an ecommerce website, which sold hundreds of products, and quickly realized each one of those items needed a photo to be uploaded in order for sales to happen.... Hmmm, what to do? So, by trial and error (and necessity!) with a good old Kodak 2MP digital camera I got my start in product photography and image editing.
Although product photography is not the most artistically pleasing field (to me anyway,) it was a great way to learn the basics, and I saw an interesting challenge in a simple thing-- to create great images. If the pictures did not look good the products did not sell. From there my path lead to photographing family and family events-- pets-- friends-- then friends of friends-- and so it went. Somewhere along the way, when money became involved, this part of my life somehow organically became a business, as well.
I can't say I ever set out to be a glamour and boudoir photographer. I merely raised my sails and the winds of the universe carried me in that direction. Somehow my skill set seemed to be a natural match for that style of photography, and so it went...
Once boudoir and womens portraiture became the focus of my work, I wanted to be sure I was creating the best possible photographs in those styles. Photography is process of constant learning and study. Taking great images of people is possibly one of the more difficult things to do. I have completed several seminars over time to keep improving my work and to become the best I can be. I have studied lighting, taken seminars in posing, natural light photography, and boudoir & glamour photography-- which influenced me tremendously. My work has slowly morphed into a glamour brand, and I get great personal satisfaction when showing work to a client and getting a "WOW" response. It makes all the hard work worth while.
So, here I am-- one of the most popular photographers in the state! I don't photograph weddings (OK, well I do on rare occasion), pets or babies- but if you are looking for beautiful glamour photography, that is my world and my specialty. If that's what you need you're in the right place.
I currently work with clients from all over New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
Who are my clients? Good question. Simply stated, my clients are people looking for exceptional portraiture and want the best.
I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best,
