As a boudoir photographer with over 15 years under my belt, I've seen just about everything you can imagine. There’s never a dull moment in this line of work, and each session brings its own unique vibe. Boudoir photography is a wonderful experience, designed to help women feel confident, empowered, and truly great about themselves. It’s about capturing those intimate, beautiful moments that make each woman unique.

One day, during a particularly fun session, a client asked me an intriguing question: "Which group of women is the wildest?" It got me thinking because, let's be honest, boudoir sessions can range from sweet and sentimental to playful and adventurous. The rise in popularity of boudoir videos has certainly added a new dynamic, bringing out even more personality and flair in each session.

While I love creating stunning, timeless portraits, there's also a fun side to boudoir photography that many women love to explore. Whether it’s playful props, daring outfits, or cheeky poses, these elements bring out the unique, fun-loving spirit in each of my clients. Boudoir isn't just about looking beautiful; it's about feeling free to express every facet of your personality.

So, I decided to dive into this curious topic and share my thoughts. Today, we’ll take a light-hearted look at which groups—brides, single women, married women, or divorced women—bring the most excitement to a boudoir shoot. Whether you're here out of curiosity or planning your own session, let’s explore the wild side of boudoir together.

Here's our fun list, from least likely to most likely to be wild...

Group 1: The Sweet Simplicity of Brides

When it comes to boudoir photography, brides are usually the most straightforward group I work with. My passion for creating amazing bridal boudoir gifts truly shines here, and it’s one of my specialties. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping a bride-to-be create a beautiful, intimate gift for her future husband. These sessions are filled with excitement and anticipation, as they prepare for one of the most important days of their lives.

Typically, brides are focused on creating "cute" and "pretty" sessions, keeping their future husbands in mind. These shoots often feature soft, romantic elements like delicate lace lingerie, subtle makeup, and gentle lighting to capture their natural beauty. It’s all about elegance and charm, aiming to produce timeless, classy images that they can look back on with fondness.

Rarely do brides have any wild requests or look to create explicit material. Their sessions tend to be fairly straightforward, emphasizing romance and sentimentality over daring or risqué poses. The goal is usually to capture their most beautiful, radiant selves in a way that feels comfortable and celebratory. This makes bridal boudoir shoots a delightful and cherished part of my work.

Group 2: The Sass of Singles

Single women have long been a staple in boudoir photography, and it's easy to see why. They love having beautiful portraits of themselves, capturing their confidence and allure in stunning images. I particularly enjoy shooting portraits in bodycon dresses and similar outfits, creating many striking dating profile pictures that truly stand out.

These sessions often come with a bit of sass and playful energy, adding a unique flair to the experience. Single women aren’t afraid to embrace their bold side, and there might be some tasteful nudity involved. They often bring great ideas to the table, inspired by the latest trends and influences from social media, making each session fresh and exciting.

In recent times, single women have also embraced the creation of sexy boudoir videos. While it wouldn't be unusual to get a request to shoot more daring content like masturbation videos, most sessions tend to stay on the "R" rated side. The blend of elegance, sass, and a touch of sensuality makes boudoir sessions with single women a dynamic and enjoyable experience.

Group 3: Boudoir for Married Women

This is where things really start to change. I don't mean that in a bad way at all! Honestly, it took me a while to come to terms with shooting more explicit material because I always saw myself as an "artist" creating beauty. After all, isn't rolling around in your underwear wild enough? But I've learned a thing or two over the years. Women don't really have a lot of outlets to express their sexuality, and a boudoir shoot is one of the few places they can feel comfortable doing so.

I've met some wonderful women who truly found happiness exploring their wild sides, and who am I to get in the way of someone finding joy in expressing themselves? So, I came to terms with it. Married sessions often include more nudity, sex toys, and explicit content along with the standard boudoir poses. It was always a challenge (in a fun way) to make this content look "cute" and "sophisticated"—it took me a while to learn how to do "cute" vibrator photos, but I did it! These sessions can range from playful and suggestive to outright erotic, depending on the client's comfort level and desires.

Married women will also have requests such as, "My husband would love to see me with another man" and be open to exploring a cuckold boudoir session. In the "photo-only" era, that was one thing, but now in the "video era," that type of session takes things to a completely new level. It's not uncommon for these shoots to involve intimate and explicit content, capturing moments that go far beyond the traditional boudoir boundaries. You'd initially think this is something solely for the husbands, but there's more to it. Remarkably, women often have a fantastic time during these sessions and frequently become repeat clients. It's clear that these shoots are about more than just fulfilling a husband's fantasy; they're about women exploring their own desires and pushing their own boundaries.

It seems married women are super comfortable with their sexuality and feel free to create all kinds of content without worry. Whether it’s incorporating toys, experimenting with different poses, or even inviting another person into the shoot, the creativity and openness in these sessions are truly inspiring. Not all married women are creating explicit content, of course, but the number has steadily grown over the years as the riverbanks of boudoir photography have widened. This evolution has allowed for a richer, more diverse exploration of what boudoir can be.

Group 4: Boudoir for Divorced Women

Divorce can be a traumatic experience. It often brings a whirlwind of emotions, from sadness and anger to relief and hope for a fresh start. The interesting thing is how a post divorce boudoir session can be incredibly therapeutic and uplifting for women who are moving on. These sessions offer a chance to reclaim their confidence and celebrate their strength. Women looking to move forward seem to love creating beautiful portraits of themselves, and tight dress photos are a staple of these sessions. Back on the dating scene, the sexier, the better!

Divorced women, too, seem to really be looking for an outlet to express their sexuality and are perfectly comfortable doing so. The advent of boudoir videos has allowed women to express themselves like never before. These sessions definitely tend to be more erotic, featuring undressing strip-tease style videos and sensual masturbation videos where women fully enjoy their sexuality. Sex toys are pretty common in these sessions, as women are eager to push their boundaries and feel comfortable doing it—while having a great time. (If I was only able to show the laughter and 'OMGs' after we cut filming...)

I've also had divorced women bring in male "friends" to shoot erotic videos with a male partner. These sessions can be incredibly intimate and empowering, allowing women to explore their desires in a safe and supportive environment. The energy in these shoots is often electric, filled with a sense of liberation and newfound confidence. It's not just about the photos or videos; it's about the journey of self-discovery and self-love.

And probably, by far, the group that expresses the biggest smiles at the end of their sessions are the divorced women. It's so interesting to me, but if you can facilitate someone to be able to move along in life, even with something as seemingly innocuous as a photo session, and that can make a small change in their life, it's worth it. Seeing these women leave the studio with a renewed sense of self-worth and joy is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.

Conclusion: Celebrating Individuality In Boudoir

These observations are by no means scientific, but after hundreds of sessions, certain patterns do emerge. The great thing about boudoir photography is the fun and joy that women, from any group, experience during their shoots. If I can brighten someone's day, even if only for a short time, it's absolutely worth it. It's important to note that not all boudoir sessions are "wild"—this is simply not the case. Every woman is different, and there is no one "right" way to do a boudoir session. A skilled boudoir photographer can help you create a session where you feel comfortable and can find your own happiness.

Also, not all boudoir photographers are comfortable shooting or filming explicit content. Although this is a growing trend, it's essential to check in with your photographer to discuss your plans. Finding the right photographer who can bring your vision to life is crucial to having a successful and enjoyable session.

As always, make sure to do your homework to find a great photographer. I want everyone to be safe and walk away with photos and videos they can cherish for years to come. Boudoir photography is about celebrating your individuality and feeling empowered, and with the right photographer, you can create beautiful memories that last a lifetime.
